This is how to deal with those who deliberately take over public spaces or block traffic screeching "Death to America!". Bring out the Riot Control Scoop Loaders, scoop up the garbage and cart it off to a landfill in the Gaza Strip.

The scoops were an interesting part of the movie for riot control, but the more terrifying riot control tactic that was used in the novel by Harry Harrison was "flying wire".

Razor wire concertinas made of an incredibly strong tempered and compacted spring steel. When dropped in bale form from a helicopter, it exploded on impact with the concertinas blasting out at high speed picking up anything in their path. It was used to quickly seal off streets.

Can you be against Palestine and support Israel?

Can you be against Hamas but be pro Palestine?

1.) That seems like an obvious yes, and the most popular answer

2.) No, I personally don't see a way for someone to reconcile that perspective. That's in the same camp as "I believe in the constitution... BUT"
If you believe palestinians exist and are being oppressed by Israel, then the only morally sound perspective is to believe Hamas is a group of freedom fighters, trying to stop the said oppressors. Trying to separate the two is mental gymnastics to manage optics, rather than an intellectually solid belief.

This guy gives a pretty good lesson on the topic

I remember back in the 60s and 70s lots of universities were in turmoil with pro-North Vietnam signs and flags, occupations of university buildings, faculty siding with the students. Main difference being we were directly involved in the conflict.
    We’ve been here before.

Seems like a lot of the present political class got in office just about when this was winding down. And it shows.

The "Palestinians" are not going to accept a "Two State Solution" which is what the morons Biden and Blinken are touting (and requiring of Israel). The history of Israel today goes back to the 1920 British Mandate for Palestine after WWI and the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire which had sided with German and the Austro-Hungarian Empires (reducing it to current Turkey). The British Mandate governance resulted in the migration of increasing numbers of Jews into the Mandate creating considerable and increasing friction between the Muslims and Jews. The British Mandate continued through WWII when the British Empire collapsed after that war. The completely unworkable 1947 UN Partition Plan was a disastrous failure. Israel declared itself a state from what had been the British Mandate in 1948.

The political goal of the "Palestinians" since 1948 has been the eradication of Israel, all of Israel, and the creation of an Islamic State from the entire former British Mandate. Creating the "Two State Solution" with the Gaza Strip in 1995 (Oslo Accords) during the Bill Clinton Presidency was intended to placate the Palestinians (which had been a piece of the 1947 Plan) is unworkable and IMHO never will be. Hamas was created as a political entity in 1987, and the "Palestinians" elected Hamas as their government in 2006, replacing Fatah. There was no revolution or coup. Hamas is doing what they elected and voted for them to do. Certainly there are dissidents within Gaza, but they're politically impotent and not of any significance. As long as there is a "Palestinian Gaza", there will be Palestinian terrorism mounted and carried out against Israel.

    Hezbollah:
Hezbollah is another matter to Israel's north. Lebanon is a failed state with Hezbollah having effectively taken over Lebanon by force via insurgencies and other means to displace what had been a more legitimate Lebanese government. Discussion of them would be better left for another place and time as it would be much too lengthy here and would dilute/distract from the Palestinian and Gaza terrorism.

Iran has been supporting Hamas and Hezbollah, and fomenting the terrorism. Iran's goal is political dominance of the Middle East as a fundamentalist Pan-Islamic region. Hoping this provides insight into how we got to where we are today, albeit with a very broad brush and skipping over the much of the 1950's through early 2000's (e.g. PLO, Yasser Arafat, etc.). The Palestinians have tragically wasted decades of opportunity, along with massive international funding, to create a productive state with an educated population and growing economy. Instead, they are blindly bent on the destruction of Israel. The contrast between Israel's diverse economy and Gaza's couldn't be more stark in that regard.

Regarding the current violent demonstrations and rioting, it's being fomented by Iranian Militia via the Sabereen News Telegram Channel (Telegram is yet another social media platform). They are exhorting the ANSWER Coalition (an amalgam of PSL and WWP Commies) to ramp up the demonstrations and their level of violence. The goal is chaos to pull the rug out from under U.S. support of Israel.
