He's a Tea Party Candidate. He famously questioned the so called racism of Tea Partiers and thanked them for their support. He is a retired military man and has leadership qualities. Let's keep our eyes on him. He might be presidential material down the road.

Yeah. First heard of him several years ago when he was threatened with a court-martial over some incident where he did what he thought was right to protect his men and accomplish the mission.

This guy has great potential, glad he won! IIRC he was an Army Lt.Col who held a gun against a jihadist head in Iraq to get info. For this he got in trouble.

He actually pulled the trigger close to the guy's head rather than just holding the gun. I have no problem with that though, but apparently the higher ups thought he shouldn't have scared the bad guy so much in order to get information from him & he got in some trouble. I've never heard him say anything I didn't agree with. Hopefully, he won't let Washington change him.
