What strikes me is that the most powerful man in the free world, the sitting president of the United States, with almost unlimited funds, the bully pulpit and a fat rolodex containing the most powerful people on the planet had months to prepare and yet turned out about 140 'insurgent's' serious enough to enter the capital. Of those I think there was a shirtless Q'anon shaman, a women with red, white and blue face paint wearing a hat with horns plus another women in what looked like a Chewbacca bikini.
If this was an attempt by Trump to overthrow the election it was an absolute dismal failure and opponents should rejoice at the pitiful and almost comic response of the people given the resources that could have been brought to bear on the effort.
