Ammofield Ammunition

Has anyone dealt with Ammofield Ammunition out of Bowling Green WVA? They have a good price on a gun that I want. You have to pay with Bitcoins or some other methods that I have never heard of before. Not real comfortable dealing in something I am not familiar with. I can't find the gun locally.

I once wanted to buy some ammo from a website that only accepted gift cards and after a bit of investigation I find it all to be a scam setup. The real kicker for me was when their "about us" section in the website was quite poor, photos of their building were suspect, and Google maps didn't show a storefront. Beware a deal that's too good to be true!

One of a zillion such scam sites targeting gun owners that popped up around the covid pandemic and subsequent ammo shortages.

If it sounds too good to be true...

ANY website that doesn't accept credit cards is probably a scam. Period.

Thanks fellas. I don't buy much on line and didn't know if Bitcoin and those type payments were more the norm now. They have a very nice website, but their pricing was really to low for what they were offering.

Look for contact information, street address and look it up on Google maps. I find a lot of times these scam sites addresses will be in the middle of nowhere, or an apartment complex. Or some other unlikely place. I've seen one give a different gun stores address as their address. Upon investigation I called the real gun shop and they were happy to know that information and they put up a scam warning about the other group.
