A lot of them floating around within the last couple days, and I currently own 2. One is a springfield, the other is a colt, both are A1s. However.. I was curious as to see if anyone had opinions on the Chiappa .22 1911 and the GSG .22 1911. Pro's? Con's? Ive fondled the Chiappa and it seems well balanced, and I like the idea of a comparable weight with a .22 round that I can plink all day for cheap. I have yet to handle the GSG version, but if anyone has had an opportunity to feel either, or both, I would be very keen on hearing your thoughts and opinions!

Done some research and seems like the GSG is better choice but if you really want a firearm that will last you a lifetime with the ergos of a 1911 I take a Ruger 22/45, I have one and I take it over any conversion kit or anything else.

Well I have a MK III, and a MK II, and its not the desire for a .22 pistol that drives it, but more of I like the feel of 1911 and a .22 is dirt cheap to shoot. Plus, it would enable people, like the girlfriend, who enjoy the 1911 style, and weight without fearing the recoil of my .45.

I have no experience with the Chiappa but I do have a GSG, very fun little 22. I picked up a suppressor for it from SSNFA. that really added to the fun factor.
I is not as accurate as my Ruger MarkII but it is accurate enough.
I would buy this gun again, it has a nice weight and 1911 feel and overall has been very reliable once found the ammo it likes

This is the first negative post I've seen about this gun. What kind of issues, etc have you had?
I've seen nothing but good about them and would be curious to hear why you form that opinion.

I have a GSG and really like it. I've only put a few hundred rounds though it though. I just bought 2 extra mags and hope to put several hundred rounds through it this weekend! :ar15::ar15::ar15:

So far so good from my perspective.

I've got a GSG - have several thousand rounds through it (actually, I think about 4500 now) and just had the original pot metal barrel bushing let go. Fortunately, a stock 1911 bushing works fine while I wait for ATI to send me a new one (the new ones are steel). I don't have any complaints; at least not yet.

I shot a gsc yesterday at a training class. Jay the instructor said about 85% of the parts interchange with the 45 cal 1911s. I would buy one!
