Not sure if this belongs here or in the polijive section.
The hypocrisy of the left indeed.

Why We Keep Guns in the House a story in The Atlantic
    Oh my goodness.

This guy sits there griping about how there's no training or licensing requirements to own a gun, then drops this gem: "Every two years, I take six hours of firearms training..."

Six hours of training every two years? And he thinks he's more trained and educated than the average gun owner. Lol.

This seems like the right place for it, that article was clearly "anti-gunners say" from what I could tell. That was unreadable.

He has a " Remington 870 double barrel shotgun "........:dunno:

I call BS on the whole article.
"That is the tube magazine, not a barrel" needs to be pointed out to the anti who wrote this.

Well... it's a 'liberal gun owner', so...
Probably was a SXS Fudd gun. Google "shotgun" and you probably get a Remington 870. Same with Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum, it is the .357 S&W Magnum cartridge after all.

    Why?

I've been tempted to turn lights out with mine.
Reminds me of the story my brother told me of how he got kicked out of the Philippines. He was a gunners mate in the Navy during the Vietnam war. After he joined the merchant marines and “shacked up with a Phillipino chick,” when not on a ship. Philippines has plenty of venomous snakes, so one day he was relaxing in the back yard and saw a snake. So he pulled his 1911 out of his rucksack (he never unpacked his rucksack; lived out of it always even in old age) and shot the snake.

He didn’t tell me what their gun laws were there. Long story short, they deported him. So. The question I have, is shooting stuff that inconveniences you always the first solution for Navy guys? :):

    Why would you think that?
    Those were valid reasons

I thought about where to put this, this was the best I could come up with, even though it's not "legislation".

Anyway, the source of many of these are coming from facebook, "Anti-Gunners Say the Darnedest Things Rebooted"
    https://www.facebook.com/antigunnerssaythedarnedestthings/
Its always funny seeing them just mumble and say the stupidest stuff just like that girl who said “ I held a AR15 and it weighed the same at 15 moving boxes” and said that it shot 50 cal lol

    Not a hyperlink?
The link is the article on MSN. For whatever reason, if something on MSN is linked, it just shows up as dark red "MSN". A bit confusing.
The underlined is how I learned to notate a title of a book. I may have messed up, it seems articles should be italicized.:dunno:

Here is the article on the original site: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/04/responsible-gun-ownership-education/673827/
Although it is titled The Ineluctable Logic of Gun Ownership , and you have to subscribe to read articles on The Atlantic site.
