I had one last week that still had one antler. I haven't seen him so I am assuming it has fallen off finally. He had both for much longer than any of the others I've been seeing. I have several with bumps but didn't realize how much they were growing already until this guy gave me a good look. I am anxious to see them as they grow back. I've got a few nice ones I've been watching.

Was in Virginia 2 weeks ago and saw one that were approx. 1" nubs. They were white so I figured that he just had not dropped them yet. Was wondering if they still drop them when they are that small or if the new ones just push them off when they start growing

Have one near me that last week still had a full rack. I think the deer are just as confused by the weather as the plants, and people...:)
Had to read up on Google about factors in the timing of shedding. Thought I had a mutant.

This guy came to visit today while I was sitting out in the back yard with my camera watching the bluebirds at work moving into their houses.

Check out the one in the front and the guy directly behind him...and yes that is me in the pink jacket by the truck. They aren't terribly afraid of me. :)

Finally saw the first one showing signs of shedding his velvet.

    Cool pics.

I love how they almost seem to smile for the camera.

    I have happy deer. :):

I had a busy night last night apparently. I had 1182 pictures on camera in the back yard...card gets changed daily so that was just since yesterday morning.

I saw what looked like twins,10 plus points in velvet Wed.in a soybean field......6 more weeks.

My two six pointers that had nearly identical antlers last year are nice 8 pointers this year. Their antlers are still a near match.
