Any Advice?

Well, I did it. I was tapping out a rear sight off of a Henry Big Boy and put a pretty nice ding in the barrel when my punch slipped. Any thoughts on a good way to touch this up?

Nope. It is your mistake not using a nylon or even a brass hammer. Or punch.

Too bad. This why we pay the pros the big bucks.

Sorry about your luck....what sort of finish is on the barrel?

If it's a scratch on a blue bbl you can clean it up with a little steel wool and CLP. Once nice and smooth clean it with a good degreaser or even Dawn dish soap. Once clean and dry rub some cold blue into the area. It won't be perfect but better than a shiny scratch staring at ya.
