So I had my first disappointment with mine this morning. Got to the range, was doing a little dry fire and noticed the reticle getting dim. Put and new battery in and bam! back to normal. Now, I have often seen this being the case with using the factory battery in something. We will see how well the Duracell I put in lasts. Hopefully this is not indicative of its normal battery life.

Update: I bought my Holosun 508t September 2019. The emitter is covered for 3 years. Calling Holosun and explaining what happened they sent an RMA and prepaid shipping form to my email the next business day (today). The customer service agent said for an out of production model, the 508t version 1, if it is determined to be an emitter issue they would just replace the optic. If that's the case I'm hoping for the 508t version 2 with the larger buttons and the side loading battery tray.
