On GT today, we were reminiscing over some members that have passed away over the years, and someone brought up John Carney.... Did they ever catch his murderer?
(Please understand, anything below is the best of my memory, and may not be accurate)
I believe it happened in 03 or 04. He walked in during a robbery attempt at the Cap N Cork Liquor store on Broadway Ave. As I recall, they were herding people into a back room, and he threw a case of beer at one of them to try and distract them while he drew his weapon, and unfortunately just got beat to the draw.
If you don't want to post here, feel free to PM... Google doesn't really turn up anything regarding an arrest ever being made.
