I was wondering the same thing. I have the itch to go out someplace. Kind of new to the area. Everyone is telling me to go to the slough. Definatly have a hankering for some gills through the ice. Tasty!

I'm ready, but I'd rather miss that first bite and be dry and alive than to fall in just to be the first to brag with a bucket of gills.

How much ice is at sum mitt? I have 2 lakes next to me and have only a little surface ice. Nothing to stand on that's for sure. Need weeks and weeks of cold before I'd venture out. Broke thru ice once or twice, like falling thru glass. Even when its shallow it can hurt.
