    I've got a 4" 625-3 "Model of 1988". Great gun! They did make quite a few of these before the safety lock hole models appeared. If you want to shoot IDPA the barrel can be no longer than 4". I use mine in competition and also to shoot up all my bad 1911 reloads with deformed bullets and light loads...lol
    The 1917's are nice also, I've owned a couple of them in the past. Smith & Wesson also made the 25-2 that was a nice blued N-frame in .45 ACP with a longer 6" barrel.

    I guess you've never seen a Ruger blown to hell have you?
    Anything that has been made by man can be destroyed by another man's negligence. Yes I have seen pics of kabooms of all sorts of guns. It was a bad attempt at a joke I guess. I always hear people say "Ruger only" loads when talking about loading hot rounds for revolvers.
