I'll just leave this right here....

So now that we are finding them we need to talk about the other part. Let talk cooking them!!!!!!

My favorite way is dredged in egg and milk wash, cracker crumbs, and fried in butter. I also like them in scrambled eggs...yummy. Have been know to add them to chicken noodle soup to give it a wonderful earthy flavor.

WHAT SAY YOU???....Lets talk cooking of these gifts from above.

Ok this just got me thinking.......what if we substituted the cracker crumbs for parmesan cheese??.....salty, cheesy, morels.....OMG...have to try that next.

^^^Stuff the caps with diced jalapeno and cream cheese then fry.
They are done down here. Ate my last ones Monday night. Lame year for them, guessing 15 pounds total for the year.

Was given about three dozen already cleaned on Monday. Did half dusted with flour and sautéed, half beer battered and fried. Both came out yummy, and the leftovers made a nice addition to my omelette the next morning.

I roll them in a little corn starch (really crispy) lightly salt and pepper and fry in real butter until they are crispy browned.
