six shot black powder revolver, 6" oct. barrel, only marking found is on lower rh side of frame -"CS". I suspect it's a replica but thought rep's would be better marked. I have more photos

I believe it's some sort of gun, like a revolver thingy ... :dunno:

Maybe some gun experts will show up with more details. :D

Maybe you can tell us how you got it, like from a parent who bought it years ago or whatnot. It could help with its history.

It looks like a Spiller & Burr. I believe the C.S. stands for Confederate States....or something like that.

Can't speak about whether or not it's a replica. Looks good though.

Try that. It does look to be a Spiller & Burr as far as I can tell from a quick googling. The CS stamp has me wondering. The lack of a serial number isn't particularly troubling though, being a blackpowder gun. Nice .36 caliber pistol. If the price is reasonable I'd say go for it. Even if you can't hit the broad side of a barn, it's a really neat piece - especially if it is an original in firing condition.

What i believe you have there is a Spiller & Burr Confederate Navy pistol originaly manufactured from 1862 to 64.. The Confederate army ordered 15,000 of these pistols and only 1451 originals were ever produced.. They make replicas of this gun and sell em at cabelas and bass pro.. But if it is an original it's worth some big money..
