Anybody live IN or NEAR MILTON, IN?

Trying to figure out if there is anywhere to park, and then launch two kayaks into the whitewater from Milton. Been launching from the park in Cambridge city but would like to shorten my trip up a bit as the fishing really isn't even interesting until south of Milton.

I wonder if you could drop them off near the river and have a friend stay with them while you parked down at the convenience store. It isn't ideal, I know. I go through there every morning. I'll take a peek around and see if there is a better answer.

There will be two of us, so that is a very real possibility... Where is the convenience store? I wanted to park at the volunteer firehouse, but cant get ahold of them. Also, not sure how access at the bridge would work. It appears there is some sort of town, or state property on the northeast corner, possibly even with parking, but that's just from the satellite view with the map.

Will be hitting the river tomorrow morning, right now the game plan is to knock on some doors and offer 20 bucks to let us park there for the day and use their back yard to launch from.

The convenience store is at the SW corner of the intersection of Main Street and 1, right across from the gravel lot where they park the cop car.

I don't know what that industrial lot is north of town, but looking at my map, the back of the lot is only about 100 yds west of the river.

not horrible... had a few setbacks that put us a bit behind where we wanted to be, but ended up getting permission from a place just north of Milton.... saved an hour. would still like to be able to put in right there in town.
