Anybody name their gun?

It will probably change, but my AR-15 right now is named Buzz Killington. I reallly need a name for M-14, ala Full Metal Jacket, so I was thinking Charlene, but then again I didn't wanna be associated with Private Pyle...

A few years back I shot in the Guns of August cowboy action match with a guy who was using an 1887 Winchester. For those unfamiliar with the model it's a lever-action shotgun legendary for being cantankerous.

The gun's name was "G#% DAMN IT!!!"

I know that because every time he tried to load it, lever a shell into it, or lever an empty out of it (none of which the gun would do) he would pound on it and call it by name.

The only gun I refer to ever by any human name, and then only occasionally- is a used Super Single Six that came with "Alannah" engraved on it in fancy script. Other than that, I sometimes refer to guns by slogans-you know AT&T for a long-range weapon-'cause it can reach out and touch someone. Thumper on a bigger caliber rifle. Bug hole gun for a really accurate rifle. The Meat Maker on a gun I've killed doubles and triples with, stuff like that.
I guess it's just not my bag. I have, however, named most of my stand locations mostly to make story telling easier...

My ruger p-89 is called the hair dryer because that's what it looks like.
My iPhone is named Jan.
I have an end table named Clark.
And I had a cat with many names one of which was Ashleigh Roachclip.

My 1934 1891/30 Tula is "Ivan"
My Ruger LCP is "Noisy Cricket"
My Glock G22 is just Glock. He hasn't manifested a personality yet.

My wife named my Ruger LCP "the gun" and for the rest she chose one name, "un-necessary". Wonder why she chose that name...

I guess I do have names for mine. When showing someone my guns I say "this is my 9mm, this is my .45, this is my .380, etc. etc.".

I name all my guns after ex girlfriends. That way when i hear there names I can think about something good instead of all the money I've wasted on them. Lets see there is Steph, Jenny, Lauren, and Echo. Soon to be a Larissa as well.
