    $10 each? I'd go for that if I had the time.

    It's really not that hard.. just strip it the best you can and get the majority of it off. Then, each time you shoot it, go back over it again and pick up on the spots you missed.
    (Inside the magwell, under the wood, under the sights, etc)
    I'm still finding bits in mine every so often, and I've had it nearly a year I think?

    If you lived in Greenwood I'd do it for $10. It would be worth it to be covered in cosmoline :D

    I use a hair dryer and lots of paper towels for the wood, and hot soapy water for the metal. Be sure to oil real well though!

    i pretty much cleaned off all the cosmoline from the m44 i got but i thought about putting it out in the sun last sunday. left the stock out on the deck for an hour and still had cosmo oozing out from the wood.
