So this weekend the family and I are planning on going hiking in the Hoosier National Forest and camping over night off the trail. Has anyone ever had any issues doing this? i.e. car broken into while parked over night (yes my car will be totally empty) or any problems with other people causing issues at your camp site.

I was killed by a grizzly bear at hoosier national forest. Dont go.

We can make it about Bigfoot!
My Grandmother always told me to get out of Negley Creek before dark because the "haunts" would come out.
Thats a local name for Bigfoot or Devil Monkey aka the "Bristow Beast".
I have never seen anything Bigfoot related nothing even close?

Unrelated question do you northern people have "Taverns"?

So the family and I went and had a good time for the most part. My 13 y/o was mad he wasn't allowed to keep possession of the map, other than that, it was good. The wife and I both OC'ed with no issues. We saw maybe 4 or 5 small groups of people there the entire time. When we set up camp, it was well off the mail trail. We heard a couple of animal fights over night, nothing else. The only issue we had was we used a little more water than we though we would, but we never ran out.
