just curious if anyone has tried to clean up the shield trigger and if much improvement was noticed. i have ran 100 rounds through mine and just thought it could be a little crisper

I put the APEX kit in my shield, I do not regret it one bit. I have a ghost trigger in my Glocks and the APEX feels nearly identical, nice and crisp, mabe a little heavier than the ghost but that is fine by me. I got mine on EBay for I think $80 it was easy to install, YouTube has plenty of vids on it

Why do most factory handguns require a trigger job? Is it the fact that due to libel issues they all come with heavy trigger pulls?

Yes, lighter trigger pulls often publish false information to deliberately defame the character of others. This is why most factory triggers are heavy. Heavier triggers tend to have more ethical practices. ;)

Friend of mine put the APEX kit on his, he said he noticed a huge improvement. I never shot it before he added the kit, but after the kit, it's one hell of a clean trigger pull.

Friend of mine who carries one is also a gunsmith. He did an apex kit and a bit of "slicking up" and it feels way better than factory. I didn't care for the factory trigger at all, but his feels really smooth and breaks without much stacking.
