It was awesome. Wish I would have caught it on tape. I had forgotten about it,We luckily caught it just after returning from a walk. My wife said ,look at the moon its,so red. Then it started to disapear and shadows started to show up on the surface of the moon. Through a telescope it was red with black stripes. Then it started reappearing with the stripes.
Its was the first time I've ever caught an eclipse like this. If you missed it,it was a sight. I would compare it to the first time I saw Saturns Rings.

I watched one on the night of the 15th but from what I heard it was not supposed to be visible from the US. Are we talking about the same one or were there two different ones? It was pretty cool though, I have never seen the moon so reddish colored.
