Or something was drawing power when it’s off, thought I read it was the pressure switch

I'm not an electrician, but I don't see how a pressure switch could draw power when not pressed. The whole idea behind a pressure switch is current doesn't flow until it's pressed.

I don’t know but I have a Surefire light for my shotgun that drains batteries as fast. Battery from same batch in my similar EOTech shotgun light lasts a year longer, at least. It does seem like it’s getting drained somehow.

Well, I just pulled out my home defense carbine and double checked it. The batteries are well over a year old and it's fine. Unless the switch is getting pressed by something while it's in storage, I don't see how a unit without a short would be pulling power. There's no LED indicators, etc. Maybe temperature swings? I wouldn't expect the batteries in my patrol rifle that lives in a trunk to have the same life as one that lives in a climate controlled bedroom safe.

Could there be a difference in generations? Mine sits in a climate controlled safe all year with nothing touching it and lasts a few months at best

Maybe. I have the first gen. I think it'd be worth a call to the customer service line to see if that's normal or if you might have a short somewhere, personally.

The CR123 battery in the cheap Nebo light on my Ruger is only he second one since I bought it at the old BGF like 4 or 5 years ago... I check it monthly for a few seconds, guess I'll do the same with the Inforce.

I like the compactness of the lights with large push pad but rather be able to use scout mounts to get the lights closer to the rail and further forward. I’d go with a streamlight or surfire
