I put a 12.5" 5.56 upper together and I think I am having bolt bounce in full auto. This is on a post dealer sample I built using a cheap anderson lower with a carbine stock/buffer system. I haven't checked the timing of the auto sear on this combination yet but I am certain the auto sear hole is in the correct location (within .001") in the lower. It is possible the carrier is out of spec and tripping the auto-sear a little soon, but I will chase that down later.
I kind of want to slow down rate of fire anyway. So....on my quest to locate some tungsten or just buy a couple heavy carbine buffers, I started thinking about the JP silent captured spring. I used to run one on an AR10 and I loved it. They make heavy weights for it and a variety of springs for tuning. Just curious if anyone has ever run one in a full auto lower. If so, what were your results and did it stand up to the abuse of full auto fire??
