App Issues

I'm at the end of my rope. I use Inbox by Google to do my email. The last few days, the notifications haven't been pushing to my phone. I've tried about everything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, changed the battery features, restarted my phone, cleared the app's data, tried it on wi-fi, tried it on data, logged out of Google and back in, and still have no luck. Any ideas of how to fix it?

Edit to add: Other apps seem to be working fine. Work email comes in right away.

Did you enable the "run in background" for this app? What phone are you using?

I second Happygunners question. What kind of ph? Android or Iphone etc?

On my android I can turn off and on notifications per app.

Android and enabled. It worked fine up until about two days ago and it is spotty at best.

Did you by chance get an update for the program? I also use this program and kinda of remember an update a couple of days ago. They may have broken something in the update.

Have you tried going to apps/settings/notifications and seeing if the app is turned on in that menu? Deleting a program seldom resets to defaults on a reinstall, it should, but not always. You may have checked that item but I gotta ask anyway.

Yeah. I tried all the major fixes. That's why I'm stumped.

I'm thinking the update made something go sideways with the OS. Hopefully a fix comes soon.

I have a Dumb Phone, Talk & Text, no problems ever.

Just use the Gmail app? Tried inbox, didn't think it was any better and went back to gmail app.
