Anyone have experience with appealing an NICS denial? There's a snafu with my records and I can't get it straightened out by myself. The State issued a carry permit to me but the Feds say I can't buy a gun. An attorney referral would be great.

Attorney referral? Sure. I'd recommend INGO Site Advertiser and author Bryan Ciyou, out of Indy.

The first thing to do is file an appeal. You can do this online. Once the appeal is filed, NICS will provide you with information as to what the issue is with your background that is preventing the approval. Perhaps that information will allow you to go forward and correct the issue without an attorney.
