The April 18 Saturday match has also been cancelled.

I am optimistic that we will shoot in May.

RCC is still open to individuals members for their personal use.

Looks like you should thank "Spot the Spotter" for letting you shoot from his front doorstep.

But the distraction is good training. At Riley the Deer will mess with you.

How much drop for a .22 at 100 yards?

Yes, the first centerfire berm is 110 yards. I checked my yardage book for shooting on that range, and if you're using subsonic (1050~1080 fps.) 40 gr. 22LR in a rifle barrel and zeroed for 50 yards, you'll have to add about 8" of elevation to get on at 100 yards. Give or take for your equipment + conditions. You will be close at 110.

165 yard berm (next one out) = -17 inches from 50 yd. zero
200 yard sandbox = -37 inches from 50 yard zero (basically, it takes as much additional elevation to get from 165 to 200, as it takes to get from 50 to 165).

...the Federal ballistics calculator predicts -25" and -53" from 50 yard zero for 150 and 200 yards, respectively, so my actual performance with Eley Orange box in a 24" CZ barrel is not quite as bad as their model predicts. But it gives you an idea what you're looking at.

To clarify earlier posts...the 22 side of the range is indeed 25,50,75,100 yards. This event takes place on the high power side at.75,110,165,200,240 (actually 235) depending on classification.
To abide by RCC rules, we use a portable backstop for 75y targets.
New shooters have targets at 75, 110, 165yards.
Targets are sized roughly 2 MOA.
Shooters get 24-30 seconds per shot.
    Easy peasey....

Was asking about the .22 range for casual plinking. Not likely to shoot the long range event. Royce and I were talking about it yesterday but if things reopen so will baseball.
