top picture is a stock mid length rock river 458 socom ... never fired it
Middle one is a bravo company w/ daniel defense 5.56 ... very accurate
bottom is a rock river operator 458 socom ... seems accurate so far, just put scope on it last week.

Oh ok, I was kinda hoping they were bull barreled 5.56's. I'm trying to find just the right upper for a compact precision rig in the future. I've got the lower, but still searching for that perfect upper.

Did you build the lower yourself? That looks like a stainless LPK. There are only a few SS LPK on the market & I've been wondering how those are working out for people.

As someone already said, it's an alg trigger group. No I didn't build the lower, it was a complete gun purchase from Olympic firearms. I just bolted on the new hardware.

Got my deer rifle finished up, last week, and slung some copper down range... I haven't had this much of a "big block grin" about anything since I picked up my CBR1100XX over 80k miles ago! This thing is a hoot to shoot!

    It's a:
Rock River .458 SOCOM CAR upper
    Palmetto State Armory lower
Spikes standard LPK with Bill Springfield trigger
    Hogue grip
Magpul MOE stock with extended rubber buttpad
Daniel Defense Burnsed Loop receiver end plate sling mount
    LaRue Tactical LT-104 VFZ mount
Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 matte with LR reticle (and Butler Creek caps)
Mags are standard mil-spec 30rd (hold 10rds of .458) with Magpul followers, and I just beveled the front of the mag.

    I didn't take any pictures (I know, I know), but I was very nearly clover-leafing 5-shot groups at 100yds from a bench.

Yeah, I know! I seriously thought I was just getting a deer rifle, but this thing is awesome to shoot! I had to pick up some Hornady 300gr HP bullets for it, because I now want to shoot it more than what I'm willing to spend on $1/each Barnes bullets!

Christmas Present from my wife. Don't laugh... I know it isn't up to many's standards. My first AR, and building a second.

    photo.jpg

Bushmaster Carbon 15. Magpul Front and Rear BOS Gen2. Magpul Stock, Magpul Maid Grip, Magwell Grip, and Magpul Pmags.

Wife bought me most of the accessories too for Valentines Day. I can't fault her for trying :) I do love the gun though, just most people laugh...

    What upper is this?

Wilson Arms. 18" Mid Gas System 223 Wylde Chambered 1x8 twist SS Bull Barrels. These are of the highest quality and will rival the Rock River varmint barrels without question. We have put this barrel on a Flat Top Upper with a Midwest Industries SS9 Free Float tube and a single rail gas block. The upper is complete with bolt/carrier assy and charging handle.

The upper comes with the standard 1 year warranty against manufacturer defect.

Got it from JSE Surplus: Custom Wilson Arms 18" 1x8 223 Wylde Mid Gas System Bull Barrel Upper MI SS9 Free Float
