Been bored not being able to shoot, so decided to have some fun.

Had some old furniture laying around and the kid has been bugging me for star wars toys. This was fun to put together.

I've had this wood furniture sitting around, so decided to throw it on and see how it looks again.

My first build, thank you PSA!
PSA 16" upper and lower, troy drop in rail, vortex strike fire red dot. Have just under $900 in it all together.

Does that Strikefire red dot clear the front sight? That mount looks awful low. Maybe it's just the angle the picture was taken.

Most red dots are designed such that the front sight is in the field of view for a co-witness with the red do. For a low mount like that you might end up having to dial the elevation up a bit more than for a taller mount that puts the co-witness in the bottom 1/3rd of the field of view.

    Details on the upper please!!

I have a SDM-R clone that shoots lights out.

    Actually.
it's an FN upper, midlength, 1x7 twist.
it's an early Palmetto state Armory upper, one of their first ones. It was an blemish marked item.
I've used it actually for a lot of accuracy tests.
like my thread in Ammunition concerning the CCI 'tactical ' ammo.
it is a pretty darn good shot.
