Ar 15 scope rings?

I am new to scopes in general. Never really used them much. Mostly an open sight kinda guy.

I am wanting to put a bsa contender 4-16x40 on my flat top ar15. Wanted some wisdom on what rings to get. I have the front sight on the ar15 so I didn't know if that would cause problems and I would need some type of riser or what.

I have used a wide variety of mounts/rings and such. I have found that the nikon m mount either in one piece or two piece has worked very well.

Depending on your eye relief you will probably want a cantilever mount. The front sight will not be visible threw your scope.

I like the LaRue mounts personally, but it's not worth spending the same on the mount as the scope. =)
