I would not mind one in 5.45x39 but that wont happen until someone else other then C Products makes magazines for it.
Ive heard law enforcement is starting to choose smaller caliber ARs for that purpose. Plus if you have an intruder you dont have to worry about the larger bullet going through the perp and into your neighbors house.
Actually in penetration tests, 5.56 ammo penetrates LESS than 9mm inside of houses. Less likely to penetrate through a bad guy, and if you miss, it goes through fewer sheets of drywall than a 9mm bullet. I didn't believe any of that but there is now ample proof to indicate it is true. So if you are worried about OVER penetration in a home defense situation, you are better off with 223 or 5.56 ammo than handgun ammo. It is my understanding that Hornaday TAPS 223 ammo is excellent in the home defense situations based on reviews I've heard and been reading.I would say 9 Milli..More acuurate in a close quarter situation(In a house)..Ive heard law enforcement is starting to choose smaller caliber ARs for that purpose. Plus if you have an intruder you dont have to worry about the larger bullet going through the perp and into your neighbors house.
7.62 x 39. I am planning on picking up a 7.62x39 conversion for my XCR when Robinson Arms gets caught up on making their rifles.
There are many people running that caliber in ARs these days due to available of ammo ALL the time.
Oh yeah, I forgot, but I have one of those too
