AR pistol help

I am going to have an extra upper once I get my AR back from the factory. It is going to be stripped but I was wondering if I could use it to build a pistol. If so what else do I need that would be different from a rifle, besides a short barrel? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can. You will also need a virgin stripped lower, and a good idea of where you want your build to go.
