What kind of buffer tube are you using? An AR-15 or AR-10 receiver extension? In a 308 AR when using an AR15 RE you will need a shorter 308 buffer, while using an AR10 RE you can use AR15 buffers(H3 usually).

Unless it's an AR 308 by Palmetto. They use a longer 6 position that still uses a shorter buffer.

That's why with .308 you should try and stick with the same manufacturer. There is no mil-spec. And although almost everyone advertises." DPMS Compatible" there's almost always little issues that pop up when you start "Frankgunning"

So they use an AR-10/VLTOR A5 RE with a shorter 308 buffer. That doesn't make any sense and is pure dumb. Leave it to PSA.

I don't have an AR-10 to compare it to but my uncle came up for Christmas and said it looks like it could be the same buffer tube as his Armalite AR-10.

Palmetto lower parts are proprietary to Palmetto. Their lower receiver needs
Palmetto take down pins (longer than DPMS)
Palmetto mag catch (longer than DPMS, possibly Armalite length)
Palmetto bolt catch (larger than dpms)
Palmetto buffer tube (longer than AR-15, possibly Armalite length)
Palmetto carbine and rifle buffers (shorter than AR-15)

All other lower parts should be AR-15 compatible except the mags.

The upper can use a DPMS dust cover, DPMS bcg, DPMS barrel extension, AR-15 gas tubes, AR-15 forward assist.

After reading their description, they use an AR-10/Vltor A5 RE w/an AR-15 buffer.
