I was looking around online earlier for some firearms parts and came across a website that will not ship High cap mags to South Bend, which leads me to believe that South bend has a ban on them or something, however i thought no one other than the state could control firearms related matters except the state? i am pretty sure there is an IN code that pertains to this isn't there? personally the info is useless to me since i don't live anywhere near South Bend, i am just curious.

Their ban was passed too late to be valid in the first place, and now it's preempted at the state level anyway.

You can still see the effects on various websites about restricted shipping.

Not able to ship to California, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, and South Bend.

Kind of comical if it wasn't so sad.

Pretty sure the law is that local gun laws cannot be more restrictive than the state gun laws. There is a lawyer out there that made a small fortune sueing towns, cities, counties, etc. that tried to enforce local gun laws that were deemed "Illegal" at the state level. If anybody (law enforcement) tries to blow you shtuff about mag capacity, they would be breaking state law. People can reserve the right to not ship there though. Just have them shipped to someone elses house.

Call them up and give them the URL to SB292 so they can update their site, and place your order over the phone while you're at it so they ship it to you.
