Are M1 Garands hard to find?

I managed to pick one up when Springfield found that batch of receivers and built them up. At the time I had contacts at Springfield so got it for a great price. A brand new, never fired Garand, I was thrilled. Prior to that the only experience with 30.06 I had was through light weight hunting rifles. You can imagine my surprise the first time I pulled the trigger at the soft recoil. If you get one don't be surprised if you become enamored with it.

Not hard to find at all, bought at least 10 of them over the years.
