This was in Fort Worth Texas. Wonder what happened to the thugs that assaulted with pepper spray and fought the police while armed?

How does this effect their legal carry status?

Same legal questions, if this exact situation happened in Indy?

    .
Pepper Spray is technically considered a weapon, but non lethal. So my guess would be assault or battery. Which won't be a violent felony, so no impact towards right to carry. Unless the person goes to court and is deemed a threat to themselves or the public, in which case it 2A can be revoked regardless of the charges.

"ANTIFA" is a loose coalition of more formal Communist and Anarchist organizations that obscure who they are by hiding behind the "ANTIFA" moniker. In Fort Worth, The Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club part of the larger national (former name) John Brown Gun Club based in Lawrence, Kansas, now called Redneck Revolt. The organization is a national one with associated chapters of armed Anarchists/Communists that procure and train with firearms, plus accouterments, ostensibly for armed conflict with the "Capitalist Plantation Owners" that are oppressing The Working Class, along with every non-white, non-Christian, LGBTQIA+ and/or non-cisgender minority group. There is no central command/control structure in Redneck Revolt. It's an association of local chapters. The general public keeps expecting a defined hierarchical structure to these organizations. There isn't one. They're cellular with autonomous local cells that adhere to the common purpose espoused by the national association.

The umbrellas serve multiple purposes for deflecting things, including protection from non-lethal rubber bullets, tear gas cannisters, and beanbags, not just hiding identities. If you want to know where the money comes from for these ANTIFA and Redneck Revolt clowns, many of them are Trustifarians, living on permanent Trust Funds set up by their uber-wealthy parents to get them out from underfoot as they (their parents) continue their uber-wealthy country club lifestyle unencumbered by the uncontrollable, incorrigible recalcitrant progeny they've spawned, who were spoiled rotten growing up with zero discipline (i.e. completely free-ranging).

John Brown Gun Club, now known as Redneck Revolt . . . founded in 2004 and renamed in 2009

I immediately recognized the "John Brown Gun Club" moniker in one of the news articles. Along with the ANTIF coalition, they're praying for and dream of an incidence of violence to spark The Revolution, akin to the 1917 Russian Empire Revolution, in which The Masses rise up to overthrow the current state and federal governments -- to replace it with a single party, central Stalinist or Maoist form of government (which depends on who you ask). Some of them are as radical as the Khmer Rouge.

Very well put. They are Useful Idiots acting as Accelerationists, but that doesn't mean they are not a threat. More people should really look into 4th Generation Warfare, and these tactics will start to make more sense. Not only that, but some of these individuals really would leave this mortal coil fully believing we were enemies to humanity, and would most certainly kill if given the chance. However they follow a heterogenous ideology that often self-cannibalizes without a strong common enemy (I've literally seen "Communist Conventions" get broken up because someone was clapping too loud, and that was "oppressing the hearing sensitive"). Not only that, but building a force based on peoples differences and weaknesses typically does not create a strong and effective force.

So would the proper response when they have plate carriers be:

    TWO TO THE GROIN
    ONE TO THE HEAD

    asking for a friend... :shady:

If you go to a protest, keep your head on a swivel and introduce yourself to the police when you get there.

    Wrong sequence I've been told.

2 to the head, one to the body. Lower if wearing plates, obviously.
