I was arrested about 12 years ago, charges dropped. When I renewed my LTCH after that the local LEO asked me about it during their "interview". The next time I came due I went for the lifetime so I don't have to worry anymore.
edit cause I forgot the timeline.. My lifetime came in a week.

I think it's about four weeks longer than usual. I have an arrest from when I was 18 and I'm at 10 weeks so far.

Edit: This is through the paper way.

when i applied i had various misdemeanors and 2 felonies that were dropped down to class a misdemeanors. the whole paper process took about two months. this was about 3 years ago so im not sure if the process has changed or not. hope this helps. and remember! just because you made a few mistakes in the past doesnt take away your RIGHT to defend yourself and your home.

Even with L1, it's currently a minimum of 8 weeks with any arrest history. This was not the case less than a year ago, but it is now.

    Yea!
I helped my 79 year old dad renew his 4yr via L1 yesterday.(12/11/12)

He's not hip with computers, and in Merrillville its L1 or nothing.

Looks like another month for me.

Mine was 8-10 weeks w/ an amended criminal history.

Mine showed "D felony amended to A misdemeanor"... (they screwed up the recording part of it after my case was completed but corrected it very quickly)

I found out about the felony on accident (good thing) and amended it quickly.

I have since received my LTCH, and I also applied for a UPIN from the feds for purchases.

This way, I don't get delayed or denied inadvertently. I have always gotten a proceed since getting the UPIN
