    I'm sure the media and bystanders aren't going to get it right the first time.

    Could very well be that upon confrontation, the women decided to try to run down the guy with the gun, at which time, fearing for his life, he discharged his weapon until the threat was no more.

    And our media would then blame the entire altercation on the gun.

    If they are using a car as a weapon, or have done so and are running off I believe you are legal to stop them from either harming others with the vehicle or stopping them after they run someone over and try to leave. Use your best judgement, your freedom and your financial assets are at stake.
