This happened 11 blocks from where my father's old office was.
I find it amazing that the *ahem* "accused" perp just continued stabbing in the presence of a witness, then again in the presence of the same witness, now visibly holding a gun. He reportedly did not stop until the defender specifically drew attention to the gun, THEN dropped it and requested a call to 911.
That, to me, speaks volumes.
Just having a gun doesn't make you "armed". having the will to shoot if necessary does.
