I saw a few different stories, but they all seem to be regurgitating the same information.
Seems pretty straight forward. (according to the article)
The punks picked the wrong 70 year old man to rob.

And who knows what they had in store for the two young ladies that he was escorting.

The second story doesn't surprise me, the media will put any kind of bad spin possible on something whenever it sees fit. Nothing was mentioned about the old guy being a reserve officer and not just a crazy old man.

When people think they can attack anyone they want - in this case an old man and two girls - they should think twice. Maybe that old man or those two girls are armed. Maybe I won't survive this attack. Clearly the two attackers were mistaken in their assessment of the situation. One of them is now dead. I prefer the attacker dead and not the old man or the two girls. I'm weird that way.

How many Libs would redo this scenario and take the gun away from the teacher, let him get shot for fighting the guys and then have the women dragged off to be raped and/or murdered?

Probably not as many as you would think. Most people don't enjoy the thought of murder and rape.
