arsenal sam7r safety lever issue.

So I got a sam7r i bought used/unfired or very low round count who knows once its been sold twice. Anyway shoots fine all seems ok but when the safety is on and you pull the bolt back the selector does not stop it, it goes up. Is this a dust cover issue or do I just need to get another selector? In have owned a couple ak variants and never seen this before. Ill post pics later.

So, your saying the safety lever drops down to the fire position due to the bolt moving to the rear? Sounds like the safety lever could be too loose?

No. It goes strait up.

Sounds like you need a new safety lever, sounds like that one could have been modified or is defective.

Pics or even a short video would be very helpful in diagnosing the issue.

for me - if the safety goes straight up then your safety or top cover or both have been majorly messed with.
