Skittles are used with Sprite or perhaps a Watermellon soft drink and codeine cough syrup to make "Purple Drank" (which has many names). There are reports that the autopsy found liver damage consistent with abuse of this particular drug. I have not seen the autopsy report, though I've found a lot of links to the report that go to "not found" pages.
