Got a question for you. I've got an '89 mustang gt convertible in which the air is inop due to lost charge. Apparently been this way for awhile 'cause when I blew air through the condenser white powder (oxidized aluminum?) came out. Anyhow I would like to properly convert it to R134 since R12 will only become more expensive till it's non-existent.
What'll it take to correctly convert this? I plan on replacing the lines due to age, I've heard that the condensor for R12 is too small for 134 and that the expansion valve etc should also be replaced. Opinions? Facts? Local COMPETENT shop? I"m in Mooresville so base local on that.
