    Um... Nurses deliver babies all the time. Doctors are not able to attend all deliveries. Makes no sense to push if doc isn't there yet and baby looks good. Never heard about the tearing related to pushing too early.

    Lots of misdirected emotions here. I didn't read anything in the post to prove doctor was inappropriate. Nurses are capable of saving cord blood, and typically save for research if parents decline to save.

    Saving cord blood is the most expensive and least likely to be useful insurance you can buy. Get the safe!

    Glad to hear about the little one. Babies rock.
