    Christmas morning I get to fry up 10lbs of Hormel thick cut bacon. I will take it to the Family gathering and add it to the breakfast feast.

    If I was doing that only about 5 pounds of bacon would actually make it to the breakfast feast. I am weak. :):

    The fun police (spouse) is my able bodied assistant so the Bacon will arrive intact.
    Well, maybe a few pieces missing of course but just a few.

    The trick is to start wity 15 or 20 pounds.

    Gordon food has 3# thick cut bacon for $9 every day. They occaisionally have it on sale for $7. It is very good and does not shrivle up. You can see both ends, no cardboard.

    They have t 10# tubes of 80 - 82% lean burger for $1.99 and whole ribeye for 5.99 lb. I got a dozen 1 lb steaks out of one.
