Balisong/butterfly knives

Is there anything law against balisongs in Indiana?
Legal to own and carry, right?

I know OTF knives are illegal but I haven't read anything about balisongs.

Any balisong flippers here?

Perfectly legal. Local ordinances may have blade length restrictions, but the State does not.

I've had one for years.

Still have a knock off.... stainless Gypsy.... that I carried for years when I was younger.

Had it in my pocket when I accompanied my cousin to the airport
the day he was going to be stationed in Alaska. We had been
out fishing before he left an I forgot I had it on me.

This was in the early years so the screener took it but she gave it back to me on my way out of the secured area.

Don't try this today.

I just have cheap ones, I dont use them for cutting so it doesnt matter the blade steel, only for flipping.
It's just a toy, sadly illegal in many states and countries for some weird reasons.
Glad it's different in Indiana.

I enjoyed them as a young man, but rarely carry them. I had a very nice one that was illegally confiscated by a New York State law enforcement agency, No charges, no crime but I was told flat out I was never getting the knife back.....
