While substitute teaching I attempted to surf the web but INGO, Mission Archery, & a few other hunting sites were all banned for "violence or weapons" but other sites like dicks sporting goods and bass pro shop were allowed when they also have guns/bows/broadheads/knifes/ammo. Just doesn't make sense to me how they decided what is and isn't allowed.

The schools don't actually decide, they Buy approved content lists from service providers who rate websites and they decide what is good and bad. Companies like Novell and others do the decision making.

You did see the half naked man with the sparklers running around this forum, right? Pretty sure that's a turn off for them.

It is crazy I am 23 and just a few years removed from school and my high school blocked most of the big news channel website cnn, fox news, ect saying some of the stores where to graphic. Well the real world is graphic. You are not protecting anyone or anything by stopping those websites. Porn and things I understand

Netbook and a 4G enabled cell phone that becomes a wi-fi hotspot. Internet censorship is a thing of the past for me, as long as I can find a window in the concrete building.

They keep thinkin they're gonna shut us down and we keep finding ways around them. If they would quit wasting their time, they'd quit wasting ours.
