After reading the field service manual and other online postings about battle zero processes I'm not quite sure what is the best. I am wondering if the majority of users here follow the manual on 6/3 or 8/3 (depending on your sight) or do you use the "improved" method. "Improved" method I mean by reindexing the most bottom rear sight 6 clicks past 6/3 or 8 clicks past 8/3.

With iron sights I just use the regular method I was taught at basic. If you're running surplus ammo you can use the adjustments for distance somewhat, but otherwise you just have to find out what the elevation adjustments for longer range are on your own and mark your dial accordingly.

All very good input. I had seen the traj. chart for the 50/200 on another sight and thought that that looked good as well. Glad to see it works in practice as well. Thank you.
