I just watched this on the Today Show.

Rossen Reports: Anyone can buy guns, no questions asked - TODAY Rossen Reports - TODAY.com

Well, it looks like we are all part of the "bazaar". This kind of stuff really cheeses me off. Do you really think that if the Canadian guy was not able to buy a guy that he wouldn't have killed his girlfriend? He shot her 11 times, that kind of passion to kill isn't slowed down by the need to choose a different weapon. Was the guy caught? Did he pay for his crimes?.... I guess that doesn't matter since he was overcome by the temporary insanity that comes with buying a firearm.

    Sorry, rant over.

I really don't understand how people can just overlook personal responsibility and blame stuff like that on gun sales.

    Ok, rant really over now.

I thought the story was pretty one sided. It was pretty alarmist and seemed like Jeff Rossen was trying to push his personal agenda. People are able to buy and sell guns.. big whoop. Felons guying guns is already illegal so I'm not sure why he added that except to scare people -- notice how he didn't mention that part?

Wow... that article made my head hurt it was so full of BS.

Oh, and the savior chuck-u-schumer is trying to introduce a bill
that ends all private sales of firearms......
That will make some FFL's, like don davis for example, very happy.

With the lowest approval rating on congress ever in history, and the evidence that people are getting fed up, desperate measures are being enacted. The Hard core socialists know their time is in danger, so every tool is being used. The Executive orders to basically circumvent the constitution, the renewed efforts at media blitz to encite emotional responses, the filling the air waves with Kennedy's affairs to draw attention away from the real issues, are all tactics to do as much damage to this representitive Republic as possible. There is an assault on our nation that is just as real as the bleeding people in Syria. The enemy of the state wants to inspire an irrational response to railroad the 2nd amendment. That is what all this anti gun "reporting" is about. Plain and simple. The devil is feeling desperate and in a hurry.

My wife had to tell me to quiet down this morning. I guess I was yelling at the talking head on the TV.

Bad "reporting", missing facts, and borderline retarded.

Another personal agenda set to the tune of "reporting". :xmad:

The U. S. is the envy of the world because we have the 2nd amendment. I am not aware of any other country where you can freely buy or sell a gun of any kind.
And yes, our non-representative government is so-called passing all kinds of unconstitutional statutes in violation of the people's wishes, whom they are sworn to represent. Also in violation of their oath of office. Our founding documents tell us that all laws not respecting the constitution are null and void. Period. How many of you would obey any such law if it were passed? I would ignore it!
And what if they passed an ordinance to register or even turn in all firearms and ammunition. Would you obey? Anyone who does will certainly deserve what they get......

Comparing anything currently going on in our country to the oppression of a regime murdering thousands of its citizens is a little insensitive, isn't it?

Joshua, That was not my intent, The people dying in Syria are very real... The attack to destroy are nation is very real. Since most people do not see the attack on our republic in a way they understand, they do not think it is real. Kind of a frog on a slowly warming pot kind of thing.

My wife had the nerve to ask me to not turn on the TV during supper (that's what us poor Southern hillbilly hick relative-marryin' doofi call what ya'all call "Dinner.") because she knew I'd get upset at the biased reporting. I agreed and we had a fine, quiet meal (Damn! When did she get a hair cut and loose her left eye!?!)
