Been jonesing for a Winchester 94 in 30-30

The Nikon Pro-staffs were the best I could afford at the time.

Nothing wrong with a pro-staff. They were my go-to budget scope until Nikon stopped making them. A good value for what you got, and adequate for my needs. I miss being able to buy new ones.

Mine has the sintered metal receiver and after studying options for re-bluing I have come to the conclusion that I will not attempt it myself. Winchester used 3 different techniques from post 64 to 81. Found a company that knows the Winchester and will reblue the receiver with the barrel still attached and the same process used depending on the mfg year. I asked for a quote if I send it with the receiver and barrel stripped. Gunblack.com gave me a quote of $175 which includes return shipping. If anyone has used them let me know.

I will do this and report back with before and after pictures.
