I've been carrying a Glock 23 in a belly band holster. It has pockets for 2 mags but I carry a knife in one. The knife has the glass break and seatbelt cutter just in case I find myself in a retention pond. I like being able to carry these life saving tools comfortably and unnoticed.
As for a home invasion, have you ever seen 4 shepherds go after hands, legs, and nut sacks? I probably wouldn't even need to fire a shot.
