I currently have the same Ruger American you listed (Navy Digital Camo .308) with a Nikon 3-9. I have been very impressed with it.. light recoil, smooth trigger, accurate. We usually shoot from 200-230 and the groupings are good...usually around 1" groups at 200 yds. The accuracy is good enough for what I'm doing and I am partial to the digital camo. For an entry-level rifle, I am pleased.

Savage has a 10 series with either a 20" or 24" barrel, both threaded, what are the advantages & disadvantages of each?
Thinking about a suppressor in the future, will probably use for hunting as well as 300m shooting.
